When I think of Vegas I think of fun and a bit of sin :D
The movie just captivates the passion and the funny moments (for us) of Joy and Jack who ,after to much fun, get married. True …what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. But, what if there are some money involve (3 million dollars ) and a judge who strongly beliefs in marriage? 6 months of “hard marriage” that is what happens…

Tagline: It takes a real man to become a maid of honor.
This is a fantastic romantic comedy :D
It has everything going for it: great actors that have that spark between them on screen ( Mcdreamy from Grey’s Anatomy Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan), a pretty wicked plot ( a very Mcsteamy (as in a bit promiscuous guy) has a best friend which is Hannah and ,of course, he realises that she is the only one for him just as she is about to say “I DO” to a Scottish guy).
Of course, the lines are brilliant with just the right amount of sarcasm and good old fashion humour.
For me, it’s the perfect movie after a long day of work. Just sit back and relax …the laughter will come soon enough ;)

Five people tell the story of an attempt on the president’s life… and they tell it in the most captivating way possible.
Be warned : heart-pounding ending!

I was glued to the screen when I saw it and I had no need for snacks to enjoy it, so you better go the bathroom before playing this one.

Awake tell the story of a young man (very rich one that is) named Clay (Hayden Christensen) who suffers anaesthetic awareness.
Basically, he can fell everything while he is undergoing heart surgery, he feels everything, hears everything and , for the first time, sees everything. Because while he is on the table with his chest wide open he figures out some really important things and , trust me, there is a twist that you won’t see coming.

A brilliant psychological thriller!
Btw Jessica Alba plays Sam his girlfriend and she does play a pretty important part (hint hint)

August rush

This is a magical movie :D
And it kept me glued to the screen and ,at the end, I had this amazing feeling of flying.
Basically, the movie is about a boy , Evan, who is an orphanage for 11 years and 16 days (”I’ve been counting”) and has this desperate desire to find his parents and he does it with the help of music which, for him, is magic. And so the madness begins and it’s a beautiful written and acted madness.
The soundtrack is beautiful and the actors (Freddie Highmore, Keri Russell,Jonathan Rhys Meyers) learned most of the songs and played/sang them themselves.

I simply loved it :D

4 luni 3 saptamani si 2 zile isi merita toate premiile!!
Este un film socant, tulburator dar in mare parte genial. Palme d’Or nu e dat degeaba trust me.

I am legend

we might have seen the end of the world all before, and the virus part might have appeared a couple of times but never had it had such a twist :D

Brilliant! Amazing! I just loved it (but really hope it will stay in the just fiction department)

Will Smith plays the sole survivor, Robert Neville.
And we get to see what it would be like to be all alone, to what you want until the night comes, of course. Did I mention that his only companion is Samantha, a dog :D but …. well stuff happens
A gripping thriller that takes place in a post apocalyptic New York and it truly glues you to the screen so you can find out if he finds a cure, if he really is the only survivor. And I am going to stop spoilining, but let’s just say that you never see that ending happening.

When I think of the film Stardust I think fantasy, romance, adventure, a bit of comedy and all in all a sweet movie just good for an early night in PJs with popcorn.
stardustposterfinal.jpg

Why would you watch it?
Well, imagine Robert the Niro a pirate (not hard) with an inclination for girlish outfits (very hard) and he looks so cute in them and his name is Captain Shakespeare. Next Michelle Pfeiffer is the dark and twisted witch Lamia who seeks the star for eternal life for her and her 2 sisters (great make up here, from an old hag she transformers in a deadly beauty).
Anyway, there is a whole madness about this star Yvaine (Claire Danes). Tristian wants to find her fr her beloved Victoria to prove his love for her. Some guys want her because of some jewellery so they can be next in the throne of Stormhold. It sounds complicated but it is quite an enjoyable ride :D

I loved it ! But , hey, I am sucker for fantasy movies.

Rule the world and there are some imagines from the movie.

Serendipity

Jonathan: This is the ultimate blend to drink. How’d you find this place?
Sara: I first came in because of the name: Serendipity. It’s one of my favorite words.
Jonathan: It is? Why?
Sara: It’s such a nice sounding word for what it means: a fortunate accident.

Just watch it!
Trust me … fate is dark and twisted but in a sweet kind a way :D
The kind of way that you dream of happing to you because you end up with that soul mate …after some twisted events.
Sara and Jonathan meet for the first time at Christmas, shopping for gifts and they both reach up for the same pair of gloves( they each end up with just one glove… you’ll see). anyway , they go to this Serendipity place after and … I am really going to spoil it all?
Hmm… just a little bit more
they marry someone else
got’cha!
:D They are about to but fate is amazing at times
Oh, just see it you hopeless romatic :P

Jonathan: Let’s go do something.
Sara: Alright, what d’ya wanna do?
Jonathan: I don’t care.
Sara: Alright, come on.

Three cheers to Tv links for having this immense database with a lot of great shows :D :D
Hip hip hurray!
Seriously, miss one of your favorite shows and don’t have the time or patience to wait for a torrent give a click and watch it. You won’t be disappointed.
But, be warned it can be addictive! However I have a solution : a bit of homework or study one amazing show :D for me it makes my endless math homework so much more double in one day…

and this is my new “listening to it over and over again” song
(maybe I shouldn’t mention the part where it is on the OST of one my favorite TV shows because that will take my addiction to a whole new level)

“You And Me” by Lifehouse

What day is it? And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive
I can’t keep up and I can’t back down
I’ve been losing so much time

‘Cause it’s you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to lose
And it’s you and me and all other people
And I don’t know why, I can’t keep my eyes off of you

One of the things that I want to say just aren’t coming out right
I’m tripping on words
You’ve got my head spinning
I don’t know where to go from here

‘Cause it’s you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it’s you and me and all other people
And I don’t know why, I can’t keep my eyes off of you

There’s something about you now
I can’t quite figure out
Everything she does is beautiful
Everything she does is right

‘Cause it’s you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to lose
And it’s you and me and all other people
And I don’t know why, I can’t keep my eyes off of you
and me and all other people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it’s you and me and all other people
And I don’t know why, I can’t keep my eyes off of you

What day is it?
And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive

just in case you were wondering about a video here it is : on youtube of course

Mae: You’re not a helicopter, mom. Quit hovering.

Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore in a brilliant comedy!
The basic thing is that the mom wants to find the perfect man (or life partner as puts it) for her daughter (Milly) so that she doesn’t end up like her.
She tries online dating and puts and add for her daughter but she soon discovers that pop ups involving sex appear frequently when you use the internet (much to her dogs enthusiasm and her horror when her other daughter calls).
Curiosity is what best describes Daphne Wilder as she almost crashes her car in an desperate attempt to sneak a peak at Milly’s date :))
Okay, I am going to stop spoiling it now but remember this: those awkward family situations you find yourself in sometimes… watch the movie and maybe you’ll see yourself in it or better be grateful that you have not endured such humility ;)

I really adore Milly because she always says sorry (kinda like me) and she talks non stop and in circles in an adorable kinda way.
Oh and one more thing: in the end she has to chose between an architect (which her mom found but she find that out later) and an artist (who is sweet and caring and “gets her”)
Who do you think she picks? :P

Hold on tight to your bottle of rum and enjoy the latest movie. Savy?
Jack Sparrow… excuse me Captain Jack Sparrow is back to his antics and is more insane then ever :)) all to our amusement.
Wasn’t he dead? Yeah he was but no he isn’t! Confused!? Well, they go an rescue him , obviously. They why and how you’ll see in the movie ;)

And I am still not sure whether to spoil this movie a bit for you or not?
Maybe just a bit…

Two people from the first movie die… And since Jack and Barbosa both died once it’s not them. You do the math
Both Elisabeth and Will become captain’s… but I am not going to reveal the ship that they command :D
They kinda of , sort of get married by non other the Barbossa :))
The voodoo lady and Jones have a little history
There are 9 pirate lords :D And I guess one of them is Jack’s brother but I might be wrong
And another useful or useless trivia ,depends on how you look, Will and his father are reunited
Oh and Jack looses the Black Pearl once again :)) and yes he gets slapped yet again :))

The movies mesmerized me with the tagline:What if someone you never met, someone you never saw, someone you never knew was the only someone for you?
And since I am feeling kinda down I said what the heck? A good romantic comedy may bring my moral up a bit
Meg Ryan is as amazing as always in the romantic comedy and Tom Hanks well he is a younger Tom Hanks but handsome non the less.
nuits-blanches-a-seattle.jpg
I recommend this film for those who are hopeless romantic, in love , wanting to be in love because if you are not you might want to change the channel or have a bag nearby for those moments when it’s just to much romance to handle.
Anyway it all starts with this guy’s kid who makes a radio announcement that his dad needs a wife and somehow the guy ends up talking on the radio about his deceased wife. Not surprisingly the next day he receives thousand of letters from fans. Among that huge pile of letter it’s her letter the only letter that his son adores.
The little bugger manages to get them both in NY on Valentines Day ( the how part is not that important but there are a lot of priceless situations a long the way like when the gal is listen secretly to the radio and hides from her boyfriend in her closet or something like that).
Anyway the are supposed to meet on top of the Empire State Building ;) ain’t that sweet?
Do they meet there?
Should I spoil that little detail… well obviously YES they do but in a very strange way which you’ll see if you watch the movie and get that far.

If my lame way of recommending this romantic movie hasn’t prove useful just read this quote it might change your mind:

Jonah Baldwin: If you get a new wife, I guess you’ll get to have sex with her, huh?
Sam Baldwin: I certainly hope so.
Jonah Baldwin: Will she scratch up your back?
Sam Baldwin: [shocked] What?
Jonah Baldwin: In the movies, women are always scratching up the men’s back and screaming and stuff when they’re having sex.
Sam Baldwin: How do you know all this?
Jonah Baldwin: Jed’s got cable.
Sam Baldwin: Oh.

(great lines)

For seven elite profilers, finding a serial killer is a process of elimination. Their own.

An amazing movie! Action packed and suspense all along the way and I was , seriously, glued to the TV trying to put all the pieces together.
No surprise here the guy I liked the most turned up to be the dangered and wicked bad guy. (Note the self: change the type of guys I find attractive)

(The movie is inspired by a true story)
Just imagine this kids in the picture doing Ballroom dancing? Can you picture it?
Not really!
Well, in their detention hours they do ballroom dancing with none other then Pierre D. played by Antonia Banderas.
Their dancing is incredible and it makes you wonder if you should learn a tango, salsa, waltz

Spoiler warning

Rock, the film’s underdog protagonist, arrives at a school dance with a water-damaged ticket and is denied entrance by Mr. Temple (John Ortiz) and Principal James (Alfre Woodard). Rock leaves and encounters some thugs, who lead him to vandalize Principal James’s car. Pierre Dulaine (Antonio Banderas), a classical dance instructor, catches Rock in the act, but Rock runs away before Pierre can question him further.

For the remainder of the year, including Rock, are kept. His first class is disastrous due to the uncooperative personalities of the students, all of whom scoff at his efforts to teach them classical dance.

The next morning Pierre returns, much to the surprise of Principal James who later explains that Rock’s brother was involved with a gang war, and one of the casualties was a brother of LaRhette, who had refused to dance with Rock the day before. Later in detention, Rock has forged a doctor’s note excusing him from dancing.

At Pierre’s dance studio, Caitlin is a student who is under pressure to learn to dance because her cotillion is fast approaching. Pierre invites Morgan, a highly trained but haughty student, to his detention session for a demonstration of the tango, which inspires the detention students to be more willing to learn. Caitlin decides to join the detention students for dance class and practices with Monster, another student struggling to learn.

Rock, who still refuses to dance, makes it clear to Pierre that he attends detention not to dance, but to be able to graduate. Later he is fired from his job for being late. He goes home and confronts his parents, who have been unable to provide him food since Rock’s brother’s death. His ailing father kicks him out of the house and he finds a new albeit dangerous job with some street thugs.

LaRhette, whose mother is a prostitute, cares for her younger siblings while her mother works. One night, LaRhette runs out of the apartment and to the school after one of her mother’s clients assaults her. She practices her dancing in the basement, and runs into Rock. They fight and are caught by security. Principle James wants to suspend LaRhette and Rock, but instead agrees to give them extra detention hours with Pierre at 7 AM each day. Pierre tells the class about a dance competition which he wishes them to enter, and this is further inspiration for the detention students to learn.

The detention basement is flooded, so Pierre takes the detention students to his dance studio to practice. They are confronted by Morgan and some of Pierre’s other students. The detention students are further disenchanted by the skills of Pierre’s students as well as the $200 entrance fee for the contest. However, Pierre manages to provide funds for the detention students to enter.

Caitlin is unable to enter in the competition, as her cotillion is the same night, to Monster’s disappointment. The two still practice together. LaRhette and Rock will compete in waltz, and Ramos and Danjou learn to share Sasha during practice.

Mr. Temple complains about the supposed waste of resources on the dance program. He brings Pierre to a meeting with the parents’ association, but Pierre convinces them to keep the dance program going.

On the night of the contest, Rock has to work. He is told that he must shoot anyone who approaches the theft operation. He shoots the sprinkler system instead, setting off the alarm and causing the thugs to run away.

At the cotillion, Caitlin makes her grand entrance down the staircase and dances with Monster, surprising her mother. After they dance they make their way to the dance competition.

LaRhette is disappointed that Rock has not arrived at the competition, where a $5000 prize is at stake. Sasha, Danjou, and Ramos perform an impressive three-person tango but are disqualified for it. Surprisingly, Morgan calls it a tie and gives Sasha her trophy.

Principal James, thrilled with the success of the program, insists on making the program permanent and expanding it to more schools. Rock arrives at the last minute to dance the waltz with LaRhette, whom he kisses at the end of the waltz.
Spoilers end here.
